Title: CookReports to: Dining Services Supervisor and Assistant SupervisorSupervises: SelfPosition Summary: Prepare food items in accordance with company standards. Assist with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations. Other relevant duties as may be required or assigned by management.Routine Functions of the Position:
To ensure quality food at all times Keep area clean/maintain cleanliness and sanitation Set up and break down all equipment used Meet specific cook times/accurate recipes and presentations Attendance at, and participation in, meetings and training Critical Success Factors:
Must be flexible enough to adjust to the needs of the residents. Knowledge of or ability to learn food preparation and presentation. Ability to work effectively with immediate supervisor Ability to work in harmony with co-workers. Must display team behaviors. Able to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously Safe work practices. Knowledge of and compliance with CSQ requirements. Work Environment:
Continuous standing (100%) Walking (20%) Lifting and carrying (40 lbs.) or more Frequent pushing and pulling/occasional stooping/bending/crouching Equipment use: walk-in and reach-in coolers / steam tables / mixers / tongs / knives / spatulas / plates / griddles / ovens / broilers / microwave / ladles / measuring utensils. |
